ProgrammingForTheFunOfIt

Programming for the Fun of It (PFI)

There are many things which make programming difficult:

  • Inherent complexity
  • Poor teachers
  • Lack of examples
  • Difficult programming languages
  • Steep learning curve

And there are solutions to many of these:

  • Problem-solving skills and tactics
  • A community willing to share what they've learned
  • Open-source code as a form of literature
  • Python programming language
  • Best practices and access to the existing body of knowledge

Maybe everyone won't be a great programmer, but anyone can create something useful and have fun.

and Motivation..

Programming for pure intellectual pleasure [Fun]? Programming becuase you want to make/do something

Years ago a talented programmer friend said to me, "As soon as you have something you really want to program, you will find learning progrmming becomes fun and easy"
