Installing gvIB on Win32 platforms with Python 2.1 and Zope 2.4

To get Zope and Interbase working with Python 2.1, follow these steps:

1. Download and install the platform generic gvIB .tgz file (currently release 0.9.6)
2. Unzip the contents of the win32 self-extracting .exe to the

   lib/python/Products/gvibDA/gvib

directory

1. Restart Zope

Using gvIB on Windows

You should always use the tcp/ip form of database connection string, even if your database is local. For a local database, use a connection string like this:

localhost:c:/program files/interbase/mydb.gdb
