isectZope is a Zope Database Adapter for relational databases which utilises the open source message oriented middleware daemon Isectd for improved performance and scalability for larger sites (3 to 4 times the performance over gvibDA, ZFireBirdDA and kInterbasdbDA where the database server and Zope are deployed on different machines). It has been developed and tested against Firebird 1.0, but could be extended to work with other RDMS's. It will almost certainly work unchanged with Interbase. It has been tested on Windows98, Windows2000, Redhat 7.1 and Mandrake 8.2 using Python 2.1 and Zope 2.5.1

IMPORTANT:  isectZope contains a pre-release of Isectd (1.6.3pre2) that works on Windows and Linux and contains Windows binaries. The release on SourceForge (1.6.2) does not work with Zope at the moment.
