QueueCatalog - asynchronous cataloging
A QueueCatalog delegates most requests to a ZCatalog that is named as part of the QueueCatalog configuration. Requests to catalog or uncatalog objects are queued. They must be processed by a separate process (or thread). The queuing provides benefits:
