Artemis Article Management System 1.0 released to the community

Artemis is an article management system focussed on making the administration of a categorised collection of pages as simple as possible.

Rather than opt for structured text, Artemis uses the Microsoft DHTMLEdit control to provide browser-based WYSIWYG editing.

For further information about what Artemis can do, please see my Artemis mini-site for further details (these pages are also handled entirely via an instance of Artemis, showing a customised page layout).

The download is being made available for non-commercial use only - if a commercial licence is needed please contact me at david@zeos.co.uk for information about licencing. All I ask for non-commercial/non-profit users is that if the site is publicly accessible that they let me know the URL and ideally a little about the site. Feedback is also welcome.

The current archive is a tar file, so untar it as normal (save it as a .tar archive and use WinZip on Windows).

There is currently no documentation along with the system, so just install the product, add an Artemis System (which will request a path to the instance - one called artemis in the root will have a path of /artemis. The path and domain have to be accurate for the system to work properly, but they can be configured on the properties page.

Then just have a play with the system - it requires Windows/IE5+ to edit pages, but the results should be viewable by most browsers. To log in and edit things, click on the Powered by Artemis link and click on the log in link.

If you need any help with the product, feel free to email me, and I'll respond when I have a chance.
