Current Zope Products

• DirectoryStorage, a new scalable, manageable, ZODB storage.

Old Products

These products were current as of Zope version 2.6.x. I am no longer actively maintaining them, but I am not aware of any problems with the today's Zope versions.

(Anyone wanting to take over maintenance of these documents/products; please feel free.)

• Documentation on using unicode in Zope, including some changes I drafted for the Zope Developers Guide.
• Details of using HTTP caching with Zope.
• Details of setting up Squid as a caching front-end proxy for Zope.
• Some Storage benchmarks (a little out of date now).
• FunctionTemplates, a class to allow functions defined in Python Products to use DTML-style context-based parameters.
• A variant Tranalyzer, that dumps more detailed information about pickle contents.
• ReplicatedFileStorage, useful if you want to avoid any data loss if your Zope (or ZEO) server explodes.
• A new implementation of the ZODB cache. The code is now part of the standard Zope/ZODB since version 2.6, but these pages still contain good documentation of why a change was needed, and ZODB API changes.
• The normal Python pickle module is not safe to use with pickles from untrusted sources, such as sources over the web. This MiniPickle class is safe.

Old Products

These products have all worked in the past. They probably wont function with modern versions without some work

1. NTUserFolder, a product for authenticating Zope users with NT user accounts. This product has not yet been revised for the Zope 2.2 security API.
2. A modification to ZServer, to allow FTP to be used with Versions. This shouldnt take too much effort to get working in the current Zope.
3. A prototype modification to ZPublisher, to support Unicode strings in ZPublisher, and unicode string properties. This patch is included in Zope 2.6.
