Adding manually users

Added users will only be allowed to log-in with CAS Ticket.

So passwords may simply be empty or filled with dummy data as they will never be used.

When this folder do get content (automatically) ?

Users are automatically added when they log-in the first time with a VALIDATED CAS Ticket. They then gets the default roles set YOU have choosen.

Note that this folder won't show you users other than you when user persistence if OFF.

Roles

To use roles with different values for some users you must activate user persistence, so users are not stored in volatile session data but in a similar way than the usual UserFolder do.

Roles are the way groups are affected to users in GRUF, so User persistence is mandatory within GRUF to assign groups to users.

Assigning Roles or Groups before user 1st connection

As users that have never logged in do not show up in this listing, you have to create theim by hand with a dummy password. You have to turn User Persistence on.

Then you can assign theim various roles that won't be overriden by default value.

Another way to assign roles is to use the default set provided by ACASUserFolder properties. So all users have the same roles. (this is not retroactive when persistence is on)
