Debian provides a very nice set of Zope packages, including the CMF. However, the recommended setup based on CGI and RewriteRules can be very frustrating: whener Zope serves large files, its allocate memory explodes. This leads to very poor performance. In order to avoid this, use a ProxyPass based setup. Read http://www.nexedi.org/Members/jp/faq/accelerate-zope.stx for example.

If you can read this text, it means you are not experiencing the Plone design at its best. Plone makes heavy use of CSS, which means it is accessible to any internet browser, but the design needs a standards-compliant browser to look like we intended it. Just so you know ;)
