UpcomingSchedule
This page provides a schedule for happenings that can provide PR value.
Principles
- Everything about this sequence of events should lead us to a certain place at a certain time. Namely, building the drumbeat for CMS and portals.
May 2000 Week 1
- Applix/VistaSource. Launching their site
- ZapMedia?'s big announcement.
- First checkpoint on Zope.org hit rates.
- Begin setting the CMS message.
May 2000 Week 2
- Perl for Zope. Contract was just signed. This should include quotes from ActiveState?, O'Reilly (Larry Wall), Python (Guido), and probably a customer or user. In fact, we could coordinate with someone like Cameron Laird or O'Reilly Network to have an article written at the same time.
- Partnership with FourThought? to bring XML stuff to Zope.
May 2000 Week 3
- VistaSource part 2. Putting $50k into Zope on Cosource.com, and a case study and article describing the development of the site. This latter would also push DC as they'd talk about getting help from us. Also, tweak Zope.org for Cosource.
- Team Zope.
- Interview and case study with CodeIt? about creating a booming business on Zope.
May 2000 Week 4
- General ZEO availability.
- Folks in NYC?
- Any acquisition?
- Announce CMS plans.
June 2000 Week 1
- 50% jump in website traffic. Mostly due to PR, but in the last half of the month, Mozilla efforts should produce a writing/browsing tool that does a pull every minute. This should be useful enough that people will love using it.
