DIGITAL CREATIONS AND COSOURCE.COM ANNOUNCE STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP Zope software enhancements to be funded on reverse-auction site

Digital Creations, developer of Zope, the leading open source web application package, and Cosource.com, the cooperative market for open source, today announced a strategic partnership to drive funding and development for Zope enhancements. The agreement includes cross-linking of Zope.org and Cosource web pages dedicated to Zope development, along with plans to co-fund specific project enhancements.

"Zope is the best web application server available today" said Bernie Thompson, President of VistaSource, Inc., and Cosource.com founder. "And the fact that it is open source means that the community of users and developers can work together to make it even better. Working with Digital Creations to do exactly that is a natural step for Cosource.com."

Users of Zope can now visit Cosource.com to either request Zope feature enhancements or help fund features suggested by others. Visitors to Zope.org will have direct access to the relevant Cosource.com projects and data. Digital Creations and Cosource.com will also be posting specific, coordinated requests for Zope development. Any software developer who is a member of Cosource.com will be able to submit proposals to complete the paid work.
