IssueTrackers masscontainer first release

issuetrackers

General

This exported folder is not a product. All it is is a suitable container to put all of your Issue Tracker instances in.

We, at Fry-IT use 13 different instances of the Issue Tracker. All for different projects where some projects have one instance facing clients and one just for us.
Most staff use more than one in their day to day life and this masscontainer delivers some useful features to get an overview.

Features

  • Lists all Issue Tracker instances
  • Let's you select which ones you're interested in
  • Lists all recent changes in instances

Installation

  • Download issuetrackers.zexp into your /import folder in the zope server root
  • Log in the the Zope management interface, and place yourself somewhere in the root
  • Click the Import/Export button and on Import file name type in issuetrackers.zexp and press import.
  • Start putting your Issue Trackers in the folder created all issuetrackers
  • Visit the global_notifyables object and start to enter your collegues names and email addresses.
  • IMPORTANT: If you have copied across some issuetrackers into this folder, you might have to call their UpdateCatalog() method. Do so using the Python Script called automate so that it only does this: o.UpdateCatalog() and ignore the final error message.
