Easy Image is an extension of the Image class in Zope that adds the following features:

  • Automatic thumbnail creation
  • Resizing
  • Conversion from several file types to JPG and PNG (and BMP).

For these features the PIL Image Library is needed. This can be downloaded from http://www.pythonware.com/products/pil/

It also supports the Torped Easy Publisher content management system, if present. In that case the following features are supported:

  • Automatic indexing to the Easy Resource catalog.
  • Using the Easy Resource settings for default thumbnail size.
  • Dublin Core meta data, including indexing this to the search service.

EasyImage v1.5 is only tested with Zope 2.5.1, but should work with Zope 2.3 and 2.4 as well. Install it in lib/python/Products.
