Installing CMFExtFile

  • Make sure you have all dependencies installed. These are PIL 1.1.5 or higher, CMF 1.5.5 or higher, and ExtFile 1.5.2 or higher.
  • Untar CMFExtFile-1.0.0.tar.gz into your Products directory and restart Zope.
  • Either use the External Method (CMF 1.5) or the GenericSetup profile (CMF 1.6 and up) to configure your CMF site.
  • Should you want to remove CMFExtFile, you can create an External Method for Extensions.Install.uninstall and run it. This method works even if you have used GenericSetup for installation.

I just realized that if you have Five but not GenericSetup (e.g. CMF 1.5 with Zope 2.8) you must delete configure.zcml or Zope startup will fail. Sorry for the inconvenience.
