ZPT expects all templates to be well formed XML. We recommend that you follow XHTML conventions. Our use of namespaces is perfectly legal for XML compliance, but ZPT templates will not (currently) pass XHTML validation (XHTML 1.0 doesn't require validation for documents using namespaces other than html).

This version of Zope Presentation Templates (ZPT)is a prototype to get the juices flowing. While bug reports are appreciated (and even encouraged), the most valuable feedback would be design related:

  • Does ZPT do what you expect?
  • Does ZPT do what you want?
  • Would you use it as an alternative to DTML?
  • Would you recommend it to a friend?
    • To a Presentation Designer?
    • To your Mom?

If you can read this text, it means you are not experiencing the Plone design at its best. Plone makes heavy use of CSS, which means it is accessible to any internet browser, but the design needs a standards-compliant browser to look like we intended it. Just so you know ;)
