How to Monitor Windows System Information

Introduction

Windows Management Information (WMI) ODBC Adapter
presents WMI information such as CPU and Memory Usage,
Hardware Information etc.

This how-to documents the steps required to
display these information on Zope.

Installation

Install the setup.exe on the Windwos 2000
CDROM \Valueadd\Msft\Mgmt\Wbemodbc directory.

A ODBC DSN called "WBEM Source" will
appear in the ODBC Manager. Rename this
to "WBEM"

Create an ODBC Database Connection

Create an ODBC Database connection
to the WBEM Source and name this
"connWBEM".

Click on the connection and browse
the tables that are available.
