Use Case: Review Submitted Content -

Actor: Reviewer

Goal: Collaborate with content creators to ensure the quality and timeliness of site content

When using the default workflow with the CMF, content is not visible to the public if it is pending review. It is the reviewer's job to review this content and approve it for publication or reject it to be revised and resubmitted for review.

Browse the list of content objects that are pending your review. Select a content object from the list to view it and determine if you wish to approve it for publication. If so, select the Publish link from the actions box. Doing so takes you to the content publish form. Here you have the option of entering comments which are attributed to your publishing of the content. Enter comments as appropriate and select the Publish this item button.

If you determine that the item requires additional work, you alternatively have the option to select the Reject link from the actions box. Doing so takes you to the content reject form. Here you have the option of entering comments which are appropriate for your rejection and select the Reject this item button.

You will then see the content object with a notification that its status has been changed. If you have additional items requiring review, you can repeat the process until you no longer have items that are pending your review.

Discussion icon Pending Contents Visibles for Anonymous...

Posted by: Austre at 2006-03-06

So, i'm using Plone 2.1.1 and i realise today Pending Contents are visible for Anonymous users. At least i don't solve this "problem" at my Framework. Either way "Public View" (not Published) can be view by anonymous, so i reconfigure my workflow to:

Pending -hide -publish -reject -retract

*Private (initial state) -submit

Published -reject -retract

Visible (don't exist at my workflow) -hide -submit

If anyone have a idea for my "Pending Contents Anonymous View" i would apreciate!
