Use Case: Remove content from public site -

Actor: Reviewer

After content has been published on your CMF site, you might find the need to remove it so it is no longer visible to the public. Once you determine you need to unpublish a piece of content, you must navigate to the content item you wish to remove from the public site.

After navigating to the content item, select the Reject link from the actions box while viewing it. After selecting the Reject link, you proceed to the content reject form. This is used to move the content from the Public state to a Private state. The content reject form allows you to add comments associated with your transitioning the content. Enter your comments as appropriate and select the Reject this item button.

After selecting the Reject button, you are redirected to the review queue form with a notification the content's status has been changed sucessfully. At this point, the content item is now in private status and is no longer visible on your public site.
