ZopeDiscussionModes? Wiki

Zope offers outstanding prospects as a collaboration platform, with integration of multi-protocol capabilities, content management capabilities, and general versatility/extensibility, and support for various discussion modes is one important aspect of that. A number of us in the Zope developers community expect discussion facilities to play some significant role in the way Zope is used, and we would like to see formulation of those facilities in a way well informed by the prospective possibilities and available choices - we would like to proceed with open eyes.

This wiki is intended to serve that purpose by gathing together the perspectives of the people concerned with these issues. In this way we at least can be informed about eachothers views, and perhaps generate goals and projects with some group involvement.

As a start, anyone interested in participating in the discussion should create a subpage from the DiscussionsProponents page to one for themselves (see examples there), describing their interests in and purposes for Zope discussion-oriented facilities and modalities. As the wiki matures we may carve out other group areas, perhaps for particular topics of group concern, or for coordination of particular activities.
