Description | resource summary | This product was developed to be a toy blog entry entry product for "BlogFace":http://www.zope.org/Members/karl/STXDocument/STXDocument. This product is based on "STXDocument":http://www.zope.org/Members/karl/STXDocument/STXDocument by Michel Pelletier. The differences are minor - CatalogAware, PropertyManager, CMF-style headers on PUT that edit properties, and a "Date" property created on creation. I made it to have an entry class for BlogFace that allowed flexiblity in its attributes - specifically, I wanted a date property that was editable, and I wanted to be able to hang other properties on it, such as a subject. This probably isn't necessary for most blog authors - Zope attributes cover most of what is needed, such as date and creator. The CMF types such as NewsItem are probably a better solution to this - they have a common metadata format, for one. I recommend using those if you're using the CMF. I didn't want to jump all the way in and convert my non-CMF site, yet, hence this product. |
