History for UpcomingSchedule
??changed:
-
This page provides a schedule for happenings that can provide PR
value.
Principles
o Everything about this sequence of events should lead us to a
certain place at a certain time. Namely, building the drumbeat for
CMS and portals.
May 2000 Week 1
o Applix/VistaSource. Launching their site
o ZapMedia's big announcement.
o First checkpoint on Zope.org hit rates.
o Begin setting the CMS message.
May 2000 Week 2
o Perl for Zope. Contract was just signed. This should include
quotes from ActiveState, O'Reilly (Larry Wall), Python (Guido), and
probably a customer or user. In fact, we could coordinate with
someone like Cameron Laird or O'Reilly Network to have an article
written at the same time.
o Partnership with FourThought to bring XML stuff to Zope.
May 2000 Week 3
o VistaSource part 2. Putting $50k into Zope on Cosource.com, and a
case study and article describing the development of the site. This
latter would also push DC as they'd talk about getting help from us.
Also, tweak Zope.org for Cosource.
o Team Zope.
o Interview and case study with CodeIt about creating a booming
business on Zope.
May 2000 Week 4
o General ZEO availability.
o Folks in NYC?
o Any acquisition?
o Announce CMS plans.
June 2000 Week 1
o 50% jump in website traffic. Mostly due to PR, but in the last
half of the month, Mozilla efforts should produce a writing/browsing
tool that does a pull every minute. This should be useful enough
that people will love using it.
June 2000 Week 2
o email annoucement to Zope.org mail list re: O'Reilly conference.
List within outline form of Paul's talk & Chris's 4 hr Zope class
July 2000 Week 1

Mozilla-zation.
